The reason why Molotov believed that a second front should be opened in the year 1942 was because of the reason that he believed that the red army will likely commit of having their forces up front and by that, they may not likely hold against the Nazis in which the Russians can’t do for the extended war. He also believed that the Russians are much lower in regards of the army and equipment that Hitler’s army.
