The diameter of a circular rug is 3 1/2 yards. what is the distance around the outside of the rug?

3.50× 2= distance
distance= 7??

The distance around the outside of the rug is equal to the perimeter of the rug (perimeter of circle)

Calculate the perimeter
p = π × d
p = 3.14 × 3 1/2
p = 3.14 × 3.5
p = 10.99

The distance is 10.99 yards
