Hello,

Radius is half of diameter . So, to find the flower bed's radius, divide 25.12 by 2 (or half).

25.12/2=12.56

The radius of the circle is 12.56 ft.

However, I read the question printed on paper and it states that a flower bed surrounds the base of a tree and it is enclosed by stones to from a circle that measures 25.12. So, really, the question is saying that the circumference of the formed circle is 25.12. The question is asking for the radius of the circle.

r = C/2(pi)

C= 25.12

pi = 3.14

Refine: r= 25.12/2(3.14)

r ≈ 4

Thus, the radius of the circle is about 4 (ft).
