Hi again!

3(x - 2) + 5x = 18

Start by using the distributive form

(3)(x) + (3)(-2) + 5x = 18

3x - 6 + 5x = 18

3x + 5x - 6 = 18

8x - 6 = 18

Transfer -6 on the right side

8x = 18 + 6

8x = 24

x = 24/8

x = 3

The correct answer is the last option!
