A student government association is having a car wash. They can only spend $35 dollars on soap. They plan to charge $6 per car wash, and can wash up to 45 cars. Use p for profit and c for cars washed. Write an equation for this function. Determine the profit if they washed 0 cars, 20 cars, and 45 cars.

profit = income - expenses

p = 6c - 35 <== ur equation
c < = 45

if they washed 0 cars...
p = 6(0) - 35
p = -35.....there would be no profit, just a loss of $ 35

if they washed 20 cars...
p = 6(20) - 35
p = 120 - 35
p = 85....there would be a profit of $ 85

if they washed 45 cars...
p = 6(45) - 35
p = 270 - 35
p = 235......there would be a profit of $ 235
