covalent bonds will be more stable inside the living cells. this is because covalent bonds form when two atoms share a pair of electron and most of these bond do not have any charge on them. in case of ionic bonds when they are in solutions they exist either in positive or negative charges. so they are unstable since unlike charges attract and hence these ions can reaction. polar and hydrogen bonds also have partial charges and they may react with the other molecules inside the cells.
