PLEASE HELP!!!!

A teacher is preparing a goodie bag for members on the Math Club. Each bag is to be
filled with highlighters and markers. The teacher has 24 highlighters and 36 markers to
use. Each bag will have the same number of each item, with no items left over. For example,
she could make 2 bags with 12 highlighters and 18 markers. Name all of the other
possibilities. Explain or show your reasoning.

Answer:

she could make 1 bag with 24 highlighters and 36 markers.

she could make 3 bags with 8 highlighters and 12 markers.

she could make 4 bags with 6 highlighters and 9 markers.

Explanation:

You have to find the common factors.

24 - (1, 24), (2, 12), (3, 8), (4, 6)

36 - (1, 36), (2, 18), (3, 12), (4, 9), (6, 6)

You would take the ones with the first umber of the pair, if they match Like this:

she could make 1 bag with 24 highlighters and 36 markers.

she could make 3 bags with 8 highlighters and 12 markers.

she could make 4 bags with 6 highlighters and 9 markers.
