The obvious thing to do first is to determine the equation represented by this table. I see that if x=6 is increased to x=12, y increases from 2 to 4;
thus, the slope is m = 2/6 = 1/3.

Use the slope-intercept form of the eqn of a str line now, to find the y-intercept:

y = mx + b => 4 = (1/3)(12) + b => 0 = b.

Thus, the equation of this line is y = (1/3)x. The slope is 1/3.

Compare this slope (m = 1/3) to the slopes of the five given equations. Which equations have slopes larger than 1/3?

A. Slope is 1/8. This is NOT larger than 1/3.
B Slope is -1/2. While 1/2 is greater than 1/3, a slope of -1/2 is smaller than a slope of +1/3. No, -1/2 is not larger than 1/3.

And so on. Please do the remaining 3 equations similarly.
