The three types of volcanoes are called shield, cinder cones and composite cones.

Shield: it is a type of volcano usually built almost entirely of fluid lava flows.

Cinder Cones: it is a steep conical hill of loose pyroclastic fragments, such as either volcanic clickers, cinder, volcanic ash or scoria that has been built around a volcanic vent.

Composite: it is built up with many layers of hardened lava and volcanic ash

Dome Volcano: Roughly circular mound-shaped protrusion resulting from the slow extrusion of viscous lava from a volcano
Shield Volcano: A broad domed volcano with gently sloping sides, characteristic of the eruption of fluid, basaltic lava.
