NEED ANSWER ASAP THIS IS DUE TODAY!!!!!!

Match the linear equations with their x- and y-intercepts.

Tiles
1. (-20/3, 0) and (0, 4)
2. (3, 0) and (0, -21)
3. (-15/3, 0) and (0, 4)
4. (-7/3, 0) and (0, 7/3)

Pairs

B). -3x + 3y = 7

C). 7x − y = 21

D). 3x − 5y = -20

Number 2 is C, Number 4 is B, Number 1 is D, and I’m not sure if you missed posting answer A under pairs but I’m only see Tiles 1-4 and Pairs B-D so there is no match showing for number 3 under tiles. Please advise if anything is missing. Hope this helps you! Any questions please feel free to ask!

Answer:

B ... 4

C ... 2

D ... 1

Explanation:

Given are 3 linear equations as

B). -3x + 3y = 7

C). 7x − y = 21

D). 3x − 5y = -20

We have to find x and y intercept

We can make these equations of the form

(x)/(a)+(y)/(b) =1

Then we know that a is x intercept and b is y intercept.

B)
(x)/((-7)/(3) ) +(y)/((7)/(3) ) =1

Hence intercepts are

4. (-7/3, 0) and (0, 7/3)

C) 7x − y = 21

(x)/(3) +(y)/(-21) =1

2. (3, 0) and (0, -21)

D)

(x)/((-20)/(3) ) +(y)/(4) =1

1. (-20/3, 0) and (0, 4)
