Every term has -2x in it, so factor -2x out first.


-2x^3 - 10x^2 - 12x =


= -2x(x^2 + 5x + 6)

Now you need two numbers that multiply to 6 and add to 5.
They are 3 and 2.


= -2x(x + 3)(x + 2)
