You are making a necklace with a clasp for your friend, using 10 beads. There are 4 striped beads, 4 polka-dotted beads, and 2 flowered beads.

What is the total number of linear permutations of the beads?

I believe you have to input 10P10 into your calculator, as you are searching for different ways to arrange 10 beads out of 10 beads. 3628800

Answer: 3150

Explanation:

Given: The total number of beads: 10

Number of striped beads =4

Number of polka bead =4

Number of flowered beads = 2

We know that the number of permutations of n things if
n_1, n_2,.....n_k are repeated items is given by :-

P=(n!)/(n_1!n_2!......n_k!)

Similarly, the total number of linear permutations of the beads will be :_

P=(10!)/(4!4!2!)=3150

Hence, the total number of linear permutations of the beads =3150
