Find the polynomial which when divided by 2x^2 yeilds 4x^3-3x^2+5

Here you have a divisor (2x^2) and a quotient (4x^3 - 3X^2 + 5).

Mult. these two quantities together to obtain the original dividend (polynomial).

2x^2 times 4x^3 equals 8 x^5, and so on.
