Answer:

FOIL

Explanation:

(x-2)(-5x^2+x)=(x)(-5x^2)+(x)(x)+(-2)(-5x^2)+(-2)(x)

(x-2)(-5x^2+x)

On the right hand side , x is multiplied with
-5x^2+x

Then -2 is multiplied with
-5x^2+x

HEre x-2 is distributed inside the second parenthesis.

So FOIL method is applied to multiply both parenthesis

F- First terms are multiplied
(x)(-5x^2)

O-outside terms are multiplied
(x)(x)

I- Inside terms are multiplied
(-2)(-5x^2)

L- last terms are multiplied
(-2)(x)

FOIL method is applied
