Oliver Brown was a reverend in Topeka, Kansas, and with the help of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) he filled a lawsuit against the board of education because his daughter and many other kids were not able to study in the only-white school near their homes, and they were forced to study in farther schools for Black people only. In the end, the Supreme Court decided that the separation of schools based on the skin color was an act of discrimination and it was unconstitutional. Thus, the right answer is "Schools were desegregated in the United States".
