The side of a square is 4x - 2y what is the perimeter of the square?

The perimeter is calculated by adding the length of the four sides. Since all sides in a square are equal, therefore,
perimeter of square = 4*side length
We are given that the side length = 4x-2y
Therefore:
perimeter of square = 4(4x-2y)
perimeter of square= 16x - 8y units
