Answer: (x,y) = (9,7)

Explanation:

so first you have to solve the equation

x+y=16

x=2+y

then you would have to substitute the value of x into the equation x+y=16

2+y+y+=16

then you solve for y which is y=7

then you have to substitute the value of y into x=2+y which would be x=2+7 and that gives you x=9

and the final answer would be (x,y) = (9,7)
