Franklin is the type of guy who likes hiking, biking, and even hang-gliding--anything that sets a person's heart racing.

You want all of the verbs to be in the same form, like hiking, biking, and hang-gliding. You could also use all infinitives, such as likes to hike, bike, and hang-glide. You cannot mix the two verb forms together in the same sentence.
