If the slope of line a is -4 , and line a is perpendicular to line b. Which statement below must be true?

the slope of line b is -4

the slope of line b is 4

the slope of line b is 1/4

None of the choices are correct.

Since line b is perpendicular to line a, which has a slope of -4, it would have a slope of 1/4. Remember, perpendicular slopes are always the opposite sign and are inverted. I really hope this helps!:)

That correct answer is B because it would always be opposite of the number given. So opposite of -4 is 4!
