A diploid cell in the male (spermatocyte) undergoes meiosis i and ii and produces how many sperm?

When the male spermatocyte undergoes meiosis I, it will form two secondary spermatocytes. Then, after undergoing meiosis II, those will split again, producing a total of four sperm, all with different genetic composition. Thus each male diploid cell is capable of producing four total sperm.

A diploid (2n) cell is a cell with both set of homologous chromosomes. Meiosis is a type of cell division which occurs in the gamete cells to produce four haploid (n) daughter cells. Haploid (n) cells are cells with one set of chromosomes. In this case a diploid cell in the male (spermatocyte) undergoes meiosis i and meiosis ii to produce four haploid (n) daughter cells .
