Answer:

The mean is 5 and the median is 3.

Explanation:

The data collected is = 2,2,3,3,3,4,4,19

The mean will be = (sum of the data)/total number of data.

This becomes:
( (2+2+3+3+3+4+4+19))/(8) =5

Therefore, the mean is 5.

The median is found by finding the mean of the middle two numbers. Th middle two numbers are 3.

The median will be =
(3+3)/(2)

=
(6)/(2)=3

Therefore, the median is 3.

The mean is (4+19+3+3+2+3+2+4)/8 = 5
The median is the middle of (2 2 3 3 here 3 4 4 19) = 3

Answer: Median:3 is the most appropriate because it is closest to the most numbers in the set.
