I would think it would be 7/16.....because 1/2 would be 8/16

We have to replace our given options with 1/2

We will check each options

option-A:

Let's assume it is equal to 1/2

(10)/(12) =(1)/(2)

now, we can cross multiply

and we get

10*2 =1*12

20 =12

We can see that difference between 20 and 12 is large

so, this can not be estimate

so, this is FALSE

option-B:

Let's assume it is equal to 1/2

(7)/(16) =(1)/(2)

now, we can cross multiply

and we get

7*2 =1*16

14 =16

We can see that difference between 14 and 16 is small

so, this can be estimate

so, this is TRUE

option-C:

Let's assume it is equal to 1/2

(2)/(9) =(1)/(2)

now, we can cross multiply

and we get

2*2 =1*9

4 =9

We can see that difference between 4 and 9 is large

so, this can not be estimate

so, this is FALSE

option-D:

Let's assume it is equal to 1/2

(1)/(8) =(1)/(2)

now, we can cross multiply

and we get

1*2 =1*8

2 =8

We can see that difference between 2 and 8 is large

so, this can not be estimate

so, this is FALSE
