60% = X
40%=8 games
so if the lost 40% of the games which is 8 then to find 60% we will cross multiply to find the value of X which is the total number of games won.
60x8=40X
480=40X
X=12
so the numer of games played altogether is lost games (8) plus the won games (12)
total games = 8+12=20
they played 20 games altogether.
