Answer: n = -4


Explanation:

First distribute.

2 + 8n = 6n + 6 + 3n

Then combine like terms.

2 + 8n = 9n + 6

Then move the 2 to the other side.

2 - 2 + 8n = 9n + 6 - 2

Then subtract.

8n = 9n + 4

Then move the 9n to the other side.

8n - 9n = 9n - 9n + 4

Then subtract.

-n = 4

Then make n positive by multiplying by -1.

n = -4
