so an during production of sperm an a daughter cell splits along with another cell called the spermatocyte. the a daughter cell now continues the stem cell formation.... so the spermatocyte begins the next process. once the spermatocyte splits via meiosis, it produces 4 haploid spermatids. Spermatids contain 23 chromosomes.
then eventually the spermatids go under a streaming process that strips excess cytoplasm which makes it a sperm.
this is the process of spermiogenesis
