Many go TO THE LIBRARY to find rare magazines and academic journals

Is this a infinitive phrase or prepositional phrase

I think it could be prepositional phrase because it has a preposition and its object.

  • A prepositional phrase is one in wich there is a preposition and an object (Sometimes the object can be preceded by an adjective)

For example:

The dogs run through the garden. (In this case the preposition "through" is followed by the object "the garden")

  • A infinitive phrase is one in wich there is a verb in infinitive form plus complement or modifiers.

For example:

Dogs like to run every morning (In this case "to run" is the verb in infinitive)

- The sentence "many go TO THE LIBRARY to find rare magazines and academic journals" is an indefinite phrase, for it has a verb in infinitive (TO FIND) and not a preposition with its object.
