PLEASE HELP WILL MEDAL ANSWER

Jean is trying to read her grocery receipt, but it is blurry. The sales tax rate was 7.75%. She pays tax only on the items labeled with a T. How much sales tax did she pay? sales tax = $ Partial sales receipt with all amounts in dollars and cents - dog food 12.97 taxable, hand soap 3.39 taxable, peanut butter 2.99 tax exempt, pasta 1.12 tax-exempt

By adding up the taxable items' prices, you get $16.36. Multiplying this by the sales tax (7.75=0.0775) yields $1.27, which is the sales tax Jean paid. I really hope this helps!:)
