Using b as the variable for the problem below, solve for b. Submit your answer as an inequality, using "<=" for or ">=" for if necessary. Round to one decimal place. In a team bike race, each biker has to ride exactly 50 miles. If a team must complete 560 miles, at least how many bikers are on each team?

Number of bikers: b

miles ridden by each biker: 50

number of miles ridden by the team: 50b

Condition: 50b ≥ 560

=> b ≥ 560 / 50

=> b ≥ 11,2

Given that b refers no number of persons it has to b an integer and b has to be at least 12

=> b ≥ 12.

If there would be 11 bikers the team only could complete 11*50 = 550 miles, so they cannot complete the required 560 miles.

Answer: b ≥ 12
