293 because 714/2 is 357 - 64 = 293

let washer be w
let dryer be d
w + d = 714
w = d + 64
(d + 64) + d = 714
2d + 64 = 714
2d + 64 (-64) = 714 (-64)
2d = 650
2d/2 = 650/2
d = 325
The dryer is 325 dollars
hope this helps
