The total number of boys in the choir are 21.

This makes 60% of the total members in the choir.

Suppose the total members in the choir are x.

So 60% of x are boys

60% means 60/100 which is 0.6

Hence 0.6x are boys.

But as 60% of the member are boys are 21 boys

So 0.6x = 21

Dividing by 0.6 on both sides, we get

x= 21/0.6

x= 35 members.

Hence there is a total of 35 members in the choir.
