PLEASE HELP! Fix any words that are used incorrectly (the underlined ones):

At the board meeting, the chairman will have to address all the adverse/averse publicity
that the company has received lately, however, he's decided to proceed/precede that
news with the company's glowing financial reports.

At the board meeting, the chairman will have to address all the averse publicity that the company has received lately, however, he's decided to precede that news with the company's glowing financial reports.

Here are some definitions to help you:
Adverse: preventing success or development; harmful; unfavorable.
Averse: having a strong dislike of or opposition to something.
Proceed: begin or continue a course of action.
Precede: come before (something) in time

Have a nice day! :)
