18x + 9y use the distributive property to write an equivalent expression

Hey there!
It looks like you have another factoring question!
Using our definition of the distributive property:
a(b+c) = ab+ac
We need to factor our or greatest common multiple, which here is 9.
9 times 2x = 18x and 9 times y = 9y
We have:
9(2x + y)
Once again, using the distributive property, multiply it out and you'll get 18x and 9y.
