y=-x^2-2x+6
To find the vertex I'm going to use the axis of symmetry formula:
x=-b/2a
x = 2/-2
x = -1
To find the y-value I'm going to plug in the x value in the above equation
y=-(-1)^2-2(-1)+6
y = -1+2+6
y = 7
The vertex is :
(-1,7)
