The answer is 112 square inches. First you find the area of the rectangle by multiplying base time height (14x7) which equals 98. Then you have to find the area of the triangle. Area of a triangle=1/2 base• height The height equals 7 and you find the base by subtractiong18-14 because the whole botttom base equals 18 but you only want the base of the triangle. so you do 1/2 7•4 which equals 14 and your final answer is 112
