Fundamentalists were individuals who believed the Bible was literally true and without error and therefore rejected Charles Darwin's theory of evolution. The conflict between the fundamentalists and the people who accepted evolution revolved around creationism and evolution. While the fundamentalists believed that the bible was literally true and without error and the belief that God created the world, the other individuals challenged creationism as reported by the Bible.
