A baseball player was at bat 473 times during the regular season. If he made a hit 31.5% of the times he was at bat, how many hits did he make during the regular season? Round to the nearest whole number

if necessary.

So, since the question is asking you what percentage 31.5% is of 473, you can multiply 31.5 by 473 and get 14899.5. But, you'll have to change this answer into a percentage. So, you can move the decimal point two places over, and end up with 148.995. Since the question says that you can round to the nearest whole number, you can go ahead and put down 149. Hope this helped.
