Before Mendel's experiments with pea plants, it was a common theory that traits were passed down to offspring as a "blending" of two parents. We now know it is true that, in fact, some traits do appear to be a "blending" of two alleles, neither of which is dominant over the other! This type of inheritance is called

A) codominance
B) incomplete dominance
C) sex-linked inheritance
D) multiple alleles

The blending of traits is a form of intermediate inheritance which shows the property of not completely dominating over the other trait. Such a type of inheritance results in the formation of a third phenotype. This process of blending where on trait does not mask over its paired allele is called as the incomplete dominance

This feature is mostly absorbed in physical features like eye color and skin color
