solve for either x or y
since they give you a y equation, you should find the x equation.
x - 1/3y = -3
move the -1/3y to the right and it'll be a positive
×= 1/3y-3
now plug in the x to the y equation or vise versa
I'm going to plug in the x into the y to make things faster and less complicated.
y= (x3-9)
y= (1/3^3 -9)
y= 1/27 -9
y= 9.03703
now plug in the y to the x equation.
x= 1/3y-3
x=1/3 (9.037) - 3
x= .01234
I'll round it to the hundredths place
(0.012, 9.04)
