Human body consists of two types of cells types of cells based on number of chromosomes. Somatic cells are all the cells in the human body which contain diploid set or 46 chromosomes. Examples, cells of skin, organs, nerves,etc are somatic cells . Sex cells or gametes are sperms or male gamete and eggs are female gametes they contain 23 chromosomes (haploid). Gametes are universally haploid formed after meiosis.
