The word rage can mean “anger” but it can also mean “passion”-an outpouring of feeling. How might Thomas have been using both meanings in the poem?

Btw the poem is “Do not go gentle into that good night” by Dylan Thomas

The word range in " Do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas, is used in these lines

“Do not go gentle into that good night / Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”

Were he is expressing two feeling towards his father since he really believes that he can keep going and hopes that with this words he can convince him to stand up from the bed and fight against his last hours.
