Solution :

Given, A King Size waterbed has the following dimensions 72 in. x 84 in. x 9.5in. It takes 240.7 gallons of water to fill it, which would weigh 2071 pounds.

Volume of the King Size Waterbed, V = length X width X height

V= 72\:inch*84\:inch*9.5\:inch \\\\V=57456\:cubic\: inch

We know that,

1 \:cubic\:inch=(1)/(1728) \:cubic\:foot\\\\ \Rightarrow57456 \:cubic\:inch=(1)/(1728) *57456= 33.25\: cubic\:feet

Weight of 33.25 cubic foot water = 2071 pounds

Weight of water in 1 cubic foot water =
=(2071)/(33.25) =62.29\:pounds\:per\:cubic\:foot

Hence, Water weighs 62.29 pounds per cubic foot.
