If ΔJKL : ΔXYZ, then line JK is corresponding to line XY. <J is corresponding to <X and <K is corresponding to angle Y.

Answer:

a. JK and XY with line over them.

Explanation:

The line over means that JK and XY are segments, that is, sides of each triangles.

The problems just give a relation between both triangle, setting an specific order. So, according to the hypothesis of the problem, the corresponding parts are:

  • JK side to XY side.
  • KL side to YZ side.
  • JL side to XZ side.
  • Angle J to Angle X.
  • Angle K to Angle Y.
  • Angle L to Angle Z.

All of these are corresponding elements. This means that if triangles are congruent, then each corresponding element of these are congruent, if triangles are similar, which is probably the case, then each corresponding pair of sides are proportional, and each pair of corresponding angle are congruent, because when it's about similarity, angles are congruent but sides are just proportional.

Therefore the right answer here is A.
