they felt tha unemployment compensation should be extended an additional six months while the country is in it current economic downturn.
Even when the economy is still on a stable condition, it may took people on average of 6-12 months to obtain a good job. Under the economic downturn, the numbers wouldn't be as favorable for job seekers.
