By the properties of a chord,
∠ KOL=2* ∠ KML = 2*17 ° = 34 °


Consider triangle KOL,
KO=KL => ∠ KLO = (1/2)(180-34)=73 °

KL=2*KO cos (73) = 2*1.08*cos(73) = 0.6315
Similarly,
AM=2*KL*cos(17)= 2*0.6315*cos(17)=1.208 (approx.)
