PLEASE HELP!!!!

Angle a​ and​ ​angle b​ ​are complementary angles. The measure of ∠a is 42°.

Which equation represents this situation with x representing the measure of ∠b ?



A. 90+x=42

B. 90+42=x

C. 42+x=90

D. 42−x=90

Answer: C.... 42+x=90

Why: Because angle A is known as 42degrees while x is unknown. So adding angle A and x will equal the angle 90degrees.

complementary angles are angles that add up to 90° so your answer is C. its the only equation that will let you add the second number and get to 90
