$42.95/1000=0.4295*15
the tip would be $6.4425 or $6.44
hope this helps!

Answer:

Tip given to the server be $6.44 .

Explanation:

As given

The Edwards family's bill for dinner is $42.95.

The normal tip is 15%.

15% is written in the decimal form .

= (15)/(100)

= 0.15

Tip given to the server = 0.15 × Cost of the dinner

Putting all the values in the above

= 0.15 × 42.95

= $6.44 (Approx)

Therefore the tip given to the server be $6.44 .
