"Jim had not yet seen his beautiful present. She held it out to him eagerly upon her open palm. The dull precious metal seemed to flash with a reflection of her bright and ardent spirit."

What does the following passage demonstrate about Della's character through the comparison made?
A) Della is not all sad that she had to sell her hair for Jim's gift.
B) Della is so excited about the watch chain that she is impatient to give it to Jim.
C) Della's spirit and positive attitude is much brighter gift than the watch chain.
D) Della's gift is a symbol of her love for Jim.
(I think its either B or C, but i'm not sure)

C) Della's spirit and positive attitude is much brighter gift than the watch chain.

I would say this because the chain is described as dull, and only shines because of the reflection of her spirits.
