f(x)=\frac x{x^2+2}\implies f'(x)=(2-x^2)/((x^2+2)^2)\implies f''(x)=(2x^3-12x)/((x^2+2)^3)

The denominator is always positive, so any
x for which
f''(x)=0 is determined only by the numerator:


2x^3-12x=0\implies f''(x)=0

2x^3-12x=2x(x^2-6)=2x(x-\sqrt6)(x+\sqrt6)=0\implies x=0,\pm\sqrt6
