4 in by 6 in logo and have been told to create an advertisement with side lengths six times larger. What is the area of your advertisement (in square feet)? [12 inches = 1 ft]

Well if you know you have a 4 in and a 6 in logo you need to first figure out what the new measurements are going to be. Multiply both your 4 and your 6 by 6 since we know it is 6 times larger. This will give you your new measurements in inches.  Then to find the area you use the formula A=l*w  to find your area. Finally your area is in the form of inches squared so you need to find it in square feet. Since 1 foot = 12 inches   1ft^2 = 144 inches so divide your answer by 144 to get the final answer.
