find the gradient of the line using any two points on the line as
let point A(2,-2) point B(-2,-4)
using
m= ( y_(2) - y_(1) )/( x_(2) - x_(1) )
as the y-intercept is -3

(0, -3)(2, -2)
slope = (-2 + 3)/(2-0) = 1/2

b = -3
equation
